Shopping the Zia locations in this town is kind of like standing on the shore after the end of the world - lots of garbage around, but something good is guaranteed to wash up, sooner or later. Today's cargo-cult jackpot was a copy of Coil's musick to play in the dark. (The retail pressing, not the mail-order-only first edition. Like I give a shit.) Coil is totally my favorite body in orbit around the whole Coum Transmissions/Throbbing Gristle school. They can toe the line of moody indulgence without quite falling over, and they know how to be experimental with their music without quite forcing any Genesis Porridge-level antimusical tirades on you. Good album to crank on headphones, in the dark or otherwise.
Just thought I'd share. Have a good weekend, folks.
