Good news stirring...

I caught up with one of my favorite candidates for a roommate last weekend, and he filled me in on a couple of recent developments: that he was expecting to get a new job this week; that his sweetheart was planning to move back to town as soon as she could get a ticket; and that they would be looking for a room ASAP once those things were settled.

I don't want to jinx it, but it's such a conspicuous set of coincidences, it's hard not to read as a good omen. Keep your fingers crossed.
